How a signal leaves our desk

Anatomy of an intraday call on EUR/USD.

Every signal is delivered as a single, timestamped ticket. No chat-room fragments, no edited screenshots, no retroactive entries. Below is the kind of artefact a Pro Trial subscriber receives at 08:30 ET on a typical London-open morning.

Macro rationale. ECB's Lagarde walks back the dovish lean from Tuesday's presser; DXY rolls over at the 103.80 supply zone noted in last week's Quarterly Outlook. We require a 4H close back above 1.0820 before sizing — patience is the edge. Invalidation is mechanical, not discretionary.

What's behind the numbers

The desk, the auditors, the index we benchmark against.

FX Victor is a research publisher, not a broker. Four verifiable facts underpin every figure on this page.

  1. 01

Founded by two ex-Bank of Canada FX desk analysts.

The desk is led by strategists who priced flow for the BoC's reserve management operation between 2011 and 2017. The methodology — bias first, then levels, then invalidation — is the same one we used to brief internal committees.

  2. 02

Track record independently audited by FX Blue.

Every signal, every close, every slippage assumption is reconciled monthly and republished by FX Blue — a third-party trade-verification service used by prop firms and managed-account operators. Audits are unedited; we don't see them before they go live.

  3. 03

Outperformed the Bloomberg FX Spot Index in 9 of 12 quarters.

Our benchmark is the index our institutional readers already track. We publish the quarterly delta — both in pips and in risk-adjusted R — alongside the FX Blue audit, so the comparison is reconcilable, not rhetorical.

  4. 04

    1,400+ subscribers across 64 countries.

The subscriber base spans retail traders, family offices, and 200+ prop firms that use our Quarterly Macro Outlook as part of their risk committee reading. Named 'Best FX Signal Service 2024' by the FX Markets Awards.

A note from the desk

We started FX Victor because the only signal groups we trusted as former central-bank analysts were the ones we ran ourselves. So we did two things differently. We wrote every call down before the market opened, and we let a third party publish the results. Seven years and 28 pairs later, the book still reconciles to the cent — and the methodology is still the same: bias, levels, invalidation. Currency markets are a business. We treat them like one.
